The Safe Food Campaign is raising awareness of the importance of organic food to health, especially for children. During the week of 15 June, there will be several food workshops, a public meeting and free tasting of organic fruit in Commonsense Organics stores in Kilbirnie, Wellington city and Lower Hutt. The week, focusing on children, food and pesticides, is being run in conjunction with an international campaign this month by the Pesticide Action Network Asia Pacific to raise awareness of the effects of pesticides on children.
