An article in the NZ Herald on March 12, 2015 criticised homoeopathy as a “sham” based on a recent review by Australia’s National Health and Medical Research Council.

The day prior to the publication of the article in the NZ Herald,  Complementary Medicines Australia released a statement which described numerous flaws in the review process which was used by the Australian National Health and Medical Research Council.  These flaws  included failure to include randomised controlled trials of homoeopathy and the exclusion of all research that was not published in English.
