The bad news is that a text has been agreed upon for the so-called Trans Pacific Partnership Agreement (TPPA) which is opposed by large numbers of New Zealanders (not to mention many people in the other countries.) However, the NZ government has not yet signed the TPPA – that’s the good news.
(For some of the reasons that the TPPA is causing concern in NZ, please see the presentation by a NZ doctor at this link: https://naturalmedicine.net.nz/news/doctor-speaks-out-on-how-tppa-could-affect-new-zealanders-health/
More general information may be found at this link: https://naturalmedicine.net.nz/news/tppa-threat-to-healthcare-access-for-new-zealanders/)
Rallies have been organised in major towns and cities in NZ to call upon the government not to sign the TPPA. The website of the organisers is www.itsourfuture.org.nz
