Introducing Issue 34 of The NZ Journal of Natural Medicine
Now in our ninth year of publication, The NZ Journal of Natural Medicine continue to be one of the most useful, interesting and reliable health magazines in the world.
Our cover story in Issue 34 is titled “The Man Who Cured Polio with Vitamin C” and it’s all about Dr. Frederick Klenner who was curing polio in the late 1940s with intravenous and/or intramuscular Vitamin C.
A hero in his time, he was actually invited to keynote the annual conference of the American Medical Association before the invitation was withdrawn at the behest of some of the people working on a vaccine.
To this day few people have ever heard of him.
Vitamin C has been called the “primal panacea” – the title of an excellent book by Dr. Thomas Levy MD, a world-renowned cardiologist, whose work also features in this issue in an excellent article ”Can a Dental Infection Cause a Massive Heart Attack?”
The answer is, yes, it can, and it has been proven, although this, too, continues to be ignored by mainstream medicine.
Why?
Our choice of cover image for this issue was inspired by an article by contributing editor Amy McComb which discusses Harakeke (New Zealand’s native flax plant) and Willow and their traditional medicinal and other uses.
With 100 pages of the most fascinating discoveries in holistic medicine, The NZ Journal of Natural Medicine continues to feature extremely well-researched articles on nutritional, homeopathic and herbal medicine, acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine, as well as potentially life-saving cancer therapies, successful approaches to diabetes and heart disease.
With a popular section on interesting approaches to life-extension (longevity) featuring new research on Carbon-60 and the importance of the microbiome.
Altogether fascinating stuff.
We’re still a quarterly, because it takes three months to read us and digest the information.
