Introducing Issue 54 of The NZ Journal of Natural Medicine
Our cover story for this issue is “The Crucial Importance of Detoxification” – an article that describes practical strategies that we can use to help rid our bodies of toxic substances that can contribute to health problems. Also on the theme of detoxification in this issue is an article specifically on how to detoxify the pineal gland.
Issue 54 of The NZ Journal of Natural Medicine also features an article on natural solvent medicine, including vegetable turpentine (traditionally used to treat infections as well as infestation by parasites) and DMSO, a versatile pine-tree derived solvent that can help relieve pain, among many other uses.
The herbal medicine section of this issue features an article in the many uses of cayenne, while the review section includes a review of a book about another important traditional medicinal plant – the noble neem tree (Azadirachta indica).
Our women’s health section covers the controversial discovery of how (and why) wearing a bra may be an overlooked contributor to the development of breast cancer (as well as other breast health issues). (And ladies – yes, it does include strategies to make bra-wearing safer!)
If you’re a man looking for a non toxic treatment for benign prostatic enlargement, our men’s health section profiles how homoeopathy can help.
Last, but far from least, if you are looking for information on healthy eating on a budget issue 54 features an article on delicious and nutritious wild foods that may be growing free for the picking in your part of the world!
All this and much more in Issue 54 of The NZ Journal of Natural Medicine. (We’re particularly proud of this issue and hope you will enjoy it.)
Wishing you the best of health!
– Katherine Smith and Jonathan Eisen, Editors
