Introducing Issue 43 of The NZ Journal of Natural Medicine

Our cover story for issue 43 is “The Most Effective Herbs for Stress and Burnout”.

Accordingly, this issue features a few valuable herbal helpers including valerian  (a natural treatment for insomnia) and the Ayurvedic herb Ashwaganda (Withania somnifera) a great tonic that helps rebuild strength after illness as well as helping to sustain energy for people who are “tired and wired”.

Also from Ayurveda, we profile the Indian gooseberry, Amla (Emblica officinalis) a fantastic natural source of vitamin C.

Issue 43 also features a thoughtful article by Joe Rozencwajg, NMD on how homoeopathy can be integrated into a comprehensive natural therapies approach to help people recover from serious conditions such as cancer.

This issue also includes an article about how another form of energy medicine, acupuncture, assisted a woman who was suffering from hot flushes, neck pain and chronic thrush.

The spike protein from the SARS-CoV-2 virus is now understood to be a key factor in what makes ta Covid infection damaging to the health of many people – and why preventative treatments that cause the body’s own cells to synthesise the spike protein can also have adverse effects.   Issue 43 features an extensively referenced article on strategies to reduce the harmful effects of spike protein.

All this and much more in Issue 43 of The New Zealand Journal of Natural Medicine.

Wishing you the best of health.

– Katherine Smith and Jonathan Eisen, Editors
